What's happening in Sauganash Park...
February already! This time last year we were buried in the so-called "Snowmageddon." This year, why, it's downright balmy here in Chicago. Maybe it's a reward for what we endured last year. Whatever the case, most of us hope the weather continues in this direction.
We've added a new member to our board. We are delighted to welcome Jim Saul, a relative newcomer to the Sauganash Park neighborhood. We look forward to Jim's input in our meetings, agendas, and activities. You can help, too! Our next board meeting takes place on March 14th, and we'd love to have you there.
We'd also like to officially welcome the new owner of Caldwell Food & Liquors (formerly Hart Liquors) to our neighborhood. Please stop in and say hello to proprietor, John Khamo, and his friendly family members. He's open for business and eager to serve our community.
Don't forget that there will be a CAPS meeting on the 28th of this month. As always, all are welcome. This is your opportunity to interact with our 17th District police officers to learn about issues specific to our area, or to inform the police of your own concerns. Also, don't forget to mark your calendar for our General Meeting on April 18th at Sauganash Elementary School.
